I took my first pregnancy picture today and like my sister, I would like to keep track of the entire pregnancy. She did a good job documenting the changes in her belly when she was pregnant with Clara by posting pictures, but I will spare you the nastiness of my belly until it gets large enough to look like a pregnant belly and not just a gut. :) I know I already look like I could be six months, but give me a break! I already had a fat stomach and add a little gas and walaaa.....haha Actually, it might be the angle!
I first found out I was pregnant in the on March 9th. I remember the day because it was the weekend of Memaw's and Robyn's birthday. Tim and I had gone to Odessa with his friend to mess around and I picked up a test (or should I say a pack of three) at Target. I had taken a test the previous Monday and of course it was negative...so when I saw a very faint line I wasn't really believing my eyes..so I took the another one Sunday morning. Another faint pink line.....during church me and Tim kept looking at each other ...smiling...we couldnt be happier. Just to make sure I went to Alco and got an EPT test...sure enough...a blue plus sign. Tim was still in denial so I made a doctors appointment the next day just to make sure.
Here we are..three appointments later. Most women dont go to the doctor until they are further along than myself...but I am glad to know that there really is something in there! The first time we had an ultrasound was when I should have been five weeks, but nothing showed up on the screen..only a white streak of some sort, which he said was the sac forming. Okay, so now I have to wait two more weeks to find out if everything is okay. If you will look at the picture above my blog you can see the sac...we actually saw the little heart beat. It is not the best picture though (I need a new digital camera). The embryo measured only .41 cm, which the nurse practitioner said was a little small for seven weeks..she said it looked more like a five week embryo. That would explain why we didnt see anything on the first ultrasound. I think when I tested it was really early, but I do think I ovulated really late. I did one month of ovulation testing awhile back and I ran out of sticks before it knew anything...so I am hoping that is the case. I am kind of worried the embryo was small, but at least we saw the heartbeat. I am sure I am not off on the date of my last cycle because I write it down. They have not given me an exact due date, so I will just keep referring to my pregancy in the form that I should be....I am going into my 9th week...until they tell me otherwise. So that would mean a baby on or around November 16...but if we go with their diagnosis...probably during Thanksgiving break. That would mean a holiday, our anniversary, and a baby, which competes with Tanya's anniversary, Father's Day, and birth of Wyatt.
Although I feel bad today, I have had a relatively easy nine weeks. I really haven't been any more tired than usual, although my appetite is not as big as it used to be. Luckily I havent missed any work..everyone there is so happy and one aide in particular is always asking me, "How are ya'll doing today?" As soon as the cat was out of the bag, all of the students knew. You can't keep anything secret in a junior high. I am not sure if the teachers or the students are worse! ha In athletics the other day I was having the boys jump lines and I showed them how I wanted it done...one boy said, "Coach! Be careful, you'll hurt the baby!" I just chuckled.
There are currently four of us expecting as school, which should make next school year an adventure in itself.
I dont believe my surgery last summer to be a waste, because I don't know if I could have dealt with those suckers. They are already increasing in size which makes me sad! :(
I will try to keep this blog updated so keep in touch!

Hey, I tried to leave a comment the other day, but it wouldn't let me. I'm so glad to finally click over and not have to read about Thanksgiving in Big Spring, yet again.
Yay for babies! And sorry about the suckers getting bigger. I sure as heck wouldn't know anything about that.
Linsey, I'm so happy for you and Tim. Congratulations and happy growing!
