Bad writing

Please excuse the grammatical, spelling, and tense errors in my previous blog. I was in a hurry.

I always find myself picking up errors in everything I read, so I feel retarded when I make mistakes! HAHA

Memorial Day Weekend, Last week of school, and Dr. Appointments

I feel like I am committing a sin. I am blogging at school.

Today is the last day of school here in Kermit, although the kids are being released at 12:00. We have to work until 4:00 and then come again half a day tomorrow! I already have all of my stuff packed away in the closet, in case someone uses my room for summer school. This whole week I have allowed the kids to watch to movies so I don't have to keep yelling at them to be quiet. 7th graders and the last weeks of school don't go well together. I am usually a teacher that NEVER shows movies, because most of the time you really can't justify showing them because they don't meet the TEKS. But because I am pregnant and don't want my blood pressure rising, I am showing movies and I don't care if I am being a bad teacher this week. lol This week has been eventful. We had no school Monday, an awards ceremony Wednesday, a kids v. teachers volleyball and basketball game yesterday, and we have 8th grade graduation in about an hour. I did play in the volleyball game yesterday but was extremely proud of myself for not sprawling across the floor to pick up balls. So, I let two fall about three feet in front of me and was content with that because I didnt squoosh the baby! All I really did was serve. We wound up beating the kids! The men played basketball against the boys and lost severely. We have a girls coach here that is about 6'4, so he really put it to them. I have to say it makes me sad to see this group of girls go on to high school. There are certain classes you just click with and this was one. If they all stick together they have a great future in high school athletics.

On to Memorial Day weekend. Let's backtrack. Friday we arrived in Marfa about 9:00. They have this awesome Pizza Place that is an old station and a Dairy Queen. So I am craving this New York pizza, but Tim is in such a hurry to get to where we were staying, that he gets mad when I suggest we go order a pizza because I am starving. He cant understand that I am hungry!!!!! We go by there and they are closed. I refused DQ because I am sick of DQ. Luckily, Joey's mom, whose house we stayed at, made chalupas, which did satisfy my hunger. We actually stayed out in their travel trailer for the weekend. On the way to Marfa, I had noticed I was getting congested. By Saturday night, I had a sore throat, runny nose, chapped nose and lips, and a fever. My heart was racing, as my resting heart rate was about 110. I told Tim we needed to leave so we got up and went to Pecos Sunday morning to pick up the dogs. We stopped and went to Wal-Mart and talked to momma for awhile. On the way back to Kermit, we hit a storm that had tons of hail. Needless to say, the truck has hail damage because Tim kept driving through it instead of stopping because he heard the horses kicking the back of the trailer. We knew there was an overpass approaching and that we could pull under it since we were on the service road, but once we got there we saw many cars and five highway patrolmen under it! Shouldn't they be out in it looking for accidents and pulling people over? We thought that was funny.

Let's backtrack again to Friday afternoon. My doctors appointment didn't go well in my opinion. My blood pressure was slightly high, I had protein in my urine, and I haven't gained any weight in four months. I guess this is the point that they start to worry about blood pressure. I honestly think mine gets high because the kids stress me out at school. I don't ever add salt to anything and I havent been eating lots of junk food, so I am confuses about how to reduce salt intake but try to gain weight! I did get to hear the heartbeat, which was 156 bpm. I was told the baby was probably up and moving around. If the old wives tale is true, I should be having a girl!

Which brings me to the exciting news......we will be finding out the gender of the baby on Monday! I have a 3d sonogram scheduled with a woman who specializes in ultrasounds and has a business. I just can't wait any longer to know what the baby is!!! My mom is going with me and Tim is going to try to make it. You can see the baby on a big screen TV, which will be awesome.

Tim will be starting a new job in a few weeks with DCP Midstream, formerly Duke Energy, and is excited about this new change. I was officially told I will no longer have coaching duties, which was a huge relief. His new job should make up for what I will be losing plus add a little more.

Until Monday....cross your fingers its a girl!!!!!!!! I really want a girl but as long as it has all its fingers, toes, arms, and legs I will be happy! At least 3 babies have been born in Wink with deformed hands and feet. The moms were told that the hands or feet were caught in bands in the uterus???? That has been an underlying fear of mine, since Wink is only six miles from here.

Short and sweet

Here is the newest picture of the ever-growing belly. This week I have begun to fill out a little more. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and then we are heading to Marfa...Tim is going to rope on Sunday. We dropped the dogs off in Pecos tonight because they are to difficult to travel with....plus it is hard to find someone to stop by to take care of them. Aspen is "with puppies" so I am glad she is with someone I trust in case she has them. I am extremely tired...so I am going to hit the sack. I will let you know how this doctors appointment goes.
By the way, I love photoshop. My pictures always have the palest colors, so I have to darken them or add a "glow."

Week 12-13

These past two weeks have found me feeling better than usual. I haven't really felt what I would call "horrible" at all the past three months. "Blah" was the overall feeling up until last week. My appetite is slowly increasing and I believe I have gained one or two pounds...or at least feel like it. Last week I made another internet purchase, which was the baby book and blue and tan burp rags. I think they are just adorable! In the picture above, the right side of the book looks a little pink, but I assure you it is a light cream color. I am anxious to know what it is so I can start buying things here and there for the nursery. Hopefully next month we will know what it is.

This week was a productive one for Tim..I put him to work building a fence in the backyard so that we can have company over and barbeque. The dogs jump all over you...I plan on cleaning it up and planting some grass. Tim doesnt like to do things around the house because it is a rent house...but my philosophy is...if we are going to be here a few more years we mind as well have it the way we want. I plan to buy a pool to keep cool during the summer also.

School is coming to an end! Hooray!!!I believe I have gotten my way with not coaching next year. I just don't know how people do it with newborns!

Our next appointment is May 23....
More updates later!!
